Cap: Pale brown to yellowish brown with small amount of remnants of universal veil present as small whitish spots.
Stem: Yellowish to tan-white, mostly solid with only a small hollow central channel, bluing only slightly and belatedly with damage. Membranous partial veil which tears leaving some on the cap and stem.
Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish coloration in young fruit bodies becoming nearly black in maturity.
